How To Apply Perfume Perfectly Every Time

Dear Ladies,

Perfume is a necessity in your fragrance wardrobe. Your scent can leave a lasting impression on those you meet, smelling nice gives you a bump up in the likeness factor. But many women apply perfume wrong, that can change the overall scent of your perfume. Most women do not know that there are different levels of fragrance in each bottle.

The three levels of fragrance are Parfum, Eau de parfum, and Eau de toilette. Parfum is the strongest and would not leave you for some time. So think of men’s cologne, that stays on for pretty much the whole day, correct. As for Eau de parfum, it is more diluted and the scent is not as overpowering like Parfum. Think of women’s perfume today, like Chanel Number 5 and Saint Laurent Opium. Eau de toilette is the lightest on the fragrance meter. It disappears after six hours or so depending on how diluted it is and your skin. Think of body sprays and fragrance mists when you imagine Eau de toilette.

As for the application it’s very easy and quite simple actually. It’s near impossible to think you’ve been applying perfume wrong your whole life. First spray on the inside of the wrist, about an inch away from the beginning of your palm. You don’t want to wash the perfume off, when you wash your hands. Here is a big no no, do not rub in your perfume. Wherever you sprayed is already hot and the fragrance will naturally evaporate without rubbing. When you rub it, you are making the perfume to hot and that can alter the smell of the fragrance.

Next is, behind the ears and underneath the jawline. When people greet you, they will naturally smell your perfume. Spray on the inside of the elbow to make it stronger and last longer. As well as on the back of the knees, people sitting down will also smell you too. Lastly you will spray a small cloud into the air and walk through it. That way your hair or hijab will smell good too. Good day to you ladies, join me for the last day of a full week of posts. I will be uploading normally starting tomorrow, every Wednesday and Saturday between 6:00 to 6:30pm EST.
