Dear Ladies,
How many of you have been struck by outfit block? Yes that’s a thing, there are plenty of clothes to choose from but nothing is speaking to you. As you can tell this was the case on this particular day. For this look I kept it simple with the black abaya dress and this ivory modal hijab (*gifted) from Veiled Beaut. The gathered pirate cuff and colorful rhinestones was eye catching, the way it glowed in the evening sun could make diamonds envious.
The simple mix of ivory and black created a nice contrast without washing out my complexion. A key tip I found while experimenting, was to actually wear flattery colors near your face, in this case your hijab. Pastel green may not look splendid near my face but it works great as an open abaya. To keep the color palette the same, I paired it with this cream baguette bag that could date back to the early 2000’s. With a magnetic flap closure, the bag keeps all my belongings safe and free from the horrors of a magnetic button or clasp. These tortoise shell H&M sunglasses were found at my desk, and I found it to pair well with this particular look, don’t you think.
