How To Find Your Personal Style Easily

Dear Ladies,

Half of us don’t even know what our style is and what it stands for and that is not your fault at all. With all these mega fashion influencers and bloggers and constant trends it’s overwhelming. We all just blindly follow the trends even if we don’t realize it. Ever seen a trend that you absaloulty hate and said you’ll never wear, then a few months later you catch yourself buying into the trend? Yep, guilty. Here are some easy steps to find your personal style.

Identify which color season you are

First up is color, now if you’re a regular here than you would already know about the season color analysis. You can click HERE to see what color season you are. You will either be a Summer, Spring, Fall or Winter season. It’s a very easy analysis you can do at home without a stylist. You need to figure out which season you are to figure out which colors look good on you. If you’re a fall season baby blue won’t look good on you, so stick to the colors that are right for you.

Identify your body shape

Next up is your body shape, you can click HERE to find out you’re body shape using a body shape calculator. It’s necessary to know which silhouettes look good on you and which don’t. 9 times out of 10 if one of your items just don’t look good on you it just might not go hand in hand with your body shape. After you figure this out head on to the next step.

Identify details you like

Now let’s get to the fun part. Look through your closet and pull out some of your favorite pieces. Now study what you like about them or go on Pinterest and look for things you like. What details about each garment speaks to you that makes your heart skip? It could be the buttons, the lace or the tiny embroidery. Whatever it is write it all down.

Identify silhouettes you like

Now you’ve seen a handful of silhouettes that look good on you. Now all you have to do is pick and choose which silhouettes you like and would personally wear. You can also head into a quick shop and look for the same silhouettes and give them a try on. It’s okay to not like every style and cut.

Identify colors you like

Heading back to color you would now want to create a color palette. Out of all the colors that will look good on you, choose your most favorite colors. I would start off with 10 colors excluding the neutrals, (black, grey, white, and beige).

On this vision board you will add your, color palette, an image of your body shape, silhouettes that work for your body and that you like, details and embellishments that you like and would wear. Also throw on some actual images of clothing that go with your style board onto your board. Now whenever you are shopping always look to your style board and see if it goes with your style.
